ColegauCymru has been saddened to hear of the recent passing of Conservative Senedd Member and Shadow Minister for Further Education, Skills, and Faith, Mohammad Asghar.

Dafydd Evans, Chair of the ColegauCymru Principals’ Forum said

“We were always pleased to welcome Oscar, as he was known to members of the Senedd and the public alike, to events organised by ColegauCymru. His contributions to the Cross-Party Group on the Future of FE and Skills were always made from his own experience of lifelong learning.”

Iestyn Davies, Chief Executive of ColegauCymru added

“Oscar would always welcome me with a smile. His generosity of time and spirit made engaging with him over many years and across a number of policy briefs always a pleasure. Together with the chair of ColegauCymru and on behalf of the FE community we offer our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.”

Mr Asghar leaves behind his wife Firdaus and daughter Natasha. ColegauCymru offer our sincere condolences to his family and many friends.
