ColegauCymru responds to Welsh Government Draft Budget

ColegauCymru has set out how further education and apprenticeships are fundamental to Wales’ economic recovery in its response to the Welsh Government Draft Budget Proposals for 2025-26. 

ColegauCymru Chief Executive, David Hagendyk, said, 

"Whilst we recognise that the Welsh Government is in a challenging position financially, support for post-16 education and apprenticeships has never been more important.

Further education and apprenticeships are vital to Wales’ economic recovery, and with strong links to industry, these pathways will help to deliver the skills necessary for learners to embark on successful careers. Investing in our learners, employers and communities is vital for create a pool of talent for today and for future generations.

FE and apprenticeships are crucial for our economic recovery and to building the fairer, greener, stronger society that we all want. "
