ColegauCymru is pleased to support ERS Cymru’s asks ahead of next year’s Senedd Elections.
We particularly welcome the vision of working towards a stronger and more diverse Senedd, and the recognition of the importance of improving the political education of young people in Wales - particularly in light of new laws which lower the voting age for the 2021 Senedd Elections.
Dr Rachel Bowen, Director of Policy and Public Affairs, said
“We welcome the move for 16 and 17 year olds to be given the opportunity be actively involved in the direction of their collective futures and hope they will take the chance to make their voices heard”.
