Qualifications Wales

Colleges agree that it is essential for awarding bodies to publish a Welsh-medium qualifications policy statement. This will enable Further Education Institutions (FEIs) to fully understand their offer in terms of Welsh language qualifications, and will provide clarity for FEIs when making curriculum decisions. A policy would ensure that the Welsh language is considered at the outset when new qualifications are developed. Increasing the awareness of Welsh-medium qualifications will inspire more learners to choose them, study them and continue their education through the medium of Welsh into apprenticeships, FE, HE and employment.
