This Autumn ColegauCymru will be holding a series of events looking at the next stages for Active Wellbeing in the Further Education sector.

ColegauCymru is delighted to invite representatives from the FE sector and external stakeholders to join us to look at how we can increase the activity and wellbeing of young people in Wales.

Supported by recent research funded by Welsh Government for better mental health in FE, the forums will involve learners and staff from colleges alongside stakeholders from the wellbeing and sport sectors. Delegates will learn more about active wellbeing and will have an opportunity to contribute to future development.

What can you expect from the ColegauCymru Active Wellbeing Forums?

The Forums will encourage you to take an active role in guiding the future development of activity delivery, support new partnership working and evaluate new ways of monitoring activity.

Each day will include insight from recent ColegauCymru research, input from key partners and stakeholders and development workshops on key themes including:

  • Connecting Activity and Wellbeing How can we improve our understanding of the benefits of participation on future employability and wellbeing?
  • Cultural Change What behaviour changes are needed to embed activity and reach a wider audience in the FE sector?
  • Collaboration Where can organisations connect with the FE sector to widen the offer for young people and achieve shared objectives?
