ColegauCymru highlighted the need for greater clarity and coherence in the outline of strategic direction. The link between the Innovation Strategy and the Commission for Tertiary Education and Research should be established and a direction agreed in the short-term.
Innovation is inherently built on risk and failure as lessons are learnt and products, processes or services etc. are adapted, however the strategy does not address this aspect of innovation with no mention of failure and little reference to risk in this context.
